Ascochilopsis myosurus

This miniature-sized, warm-growing epiphytic orchid is found in Peninsular Malaysia and Thailand. It has branching stems with up to 10 narrow, unequally bilobed leaves that gradually narrow at the base. Blooming in the spring, it produces a short, 2.5 to 5 cm fleshy inflorescence that thickens at the tip. The short-lived, resupinate flowers emerge from hollows in the swollen rachis, with 1 to 4 flowers open at a time.
