This small, hot to warm growing epiphyte is found in Thailand, Malaysia, and Java. It has a woody rhizome with bright green, four-angled conic pseudobulbs spaced 8 to 14 cm apart. Each pseudobulb carries a single, erect, fleshy, narrowly ovate leaf with a distinct 2.5 cm petiole. Blooming in fall and winter, it produces a 8 to 20 cm long inflorescence with several flowers arranged in an umbel at the apex, all held above the leaves.
