Cattleya nobilior

This orchid is found in Brazil, Bolivia, and Paraguay, growing on rough-barked trees along riverbanks and cliffs at elevations of 170 to 700 meters. It is a small to medium-sized, hot to warm-growing epiphyte with ellipsoid pseudobulbs and two leathery, elliptic leaves. Blooming on a slender, up to 8 cm long inflorescence, it produces up to five highly fragrant flowers with a vanilla-citron scent. It thrives in full sun with ample air circulation.
