Dendrobium acerosum

This miniature to small orchid is found in the Philippines, Borneo, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Myanmar at elevations of 50 to 1600 meters. It grows as a hot to cool pendulous epiphyte or lithophyte in open spaces and swamps, often in full sun. It has slender, branching, usually fractiflex stems with 7 to 10 succulent, recurved leaves. Blooming in fall and spring, it produces a 5 to 15 cm inflorescence with 1 to 3 flowers on the leafless stem tip.
