Dimorphorchis rossii

Found in Sabah on Mt. Kinabalu’s eastern slopes at 300–1200 meters, this large, hot to warm growing epiphyte has a Vanda-like appearance. It produces a long, pendant inflorescence up to 90 cm, emerging from leaf axils with few to several flowers. The plant has two flower forms on the same inflorescence: fragrant orange flowers on the upper part and non-fragrant yellow flowers on the lower part. It thrives in riverine and lower montane forests.
