Bulbophyllum abbreviatum

This miniature to small-sized, hot-growing epiphytic orchid is native to Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, and Borneo, thriving in lowland forests up to 100 meters. It has ovoid to ellipsoid pseudobulbs, spaced 0.3 to 2.5 cm apart, each bearing a single, erect, ovate to elliptic leaf. The orchid blooms on an obliquely erect to spreading inflorescence with a short rachis, producing five to ten flowers in a subumbellate, racemose arrangement.
