This miniature, hot to warm-growing epiphytic orchid is native to the Andaman Islands, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, and Borneo, thriving in podosol forests up to 600 meters. It has globose to conical pseudobulbs, each with a slender, tapering leaf. Blooming from fall to late spring, it produces a basal, slender inflorescence up to 20 cm long, bearing a few to several flowers in an apical umbel held above the leaf.
