This small, hot to cool-growing epiphytic orchid is found across Southeast Asia from sea level to 2000 meters. It has discoid pseudobulbs spaced 2 to 3 cm apart, each bearing a single, thick, elliptic leaf with a petiolate base. Blooming in fall, winter, and spring, it produces a 14 cm long inflorescence with up to 40 flowers, enclosed by loose, tubular bracts. The flowers are sometimes fragrant.
