Bulbophyllum augustifolium

This miniature, cool-growing epiphytic orchid is found in Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, and New Guinea at elevations of 1100 to 1800 meters. It has a branched, often hanging rhizome with pale green, curved pseudobulbs spaced 3 to 10 cm apart, each bearing a single, lanceolate-oblong leaf. Blooming from the rhizome, its inflorescence varies from 2 to 10 cm in length, producing 3 to 7 loosely arranged flowers in an apical corymb.
