Bulbophyllum curtisii ‘flava’

This miniature to small, hot-growing epiphyte is found in lowland mangroves across Southeast Asia. It thrives in light shade and high humidity, with garlic-shaped, irregularly angled pseudobulbs and a single oblanceolate leaf. Blooming in fall, it produces a slender, reddish, 11 to 14 cm (4.4 to 5.6 inches) long inflorescence bearing 8 to 10 flowers in an umbel beneath the leaf.
