This small-sized epiphyte is found in Borneo and Malaysia, thriving in hot to cool conditions. It has conical, wrinkled pseudobulbs spaced 4 to 5 cm apart, each carrying a single leaf that is widest above the middle and narrows into a 1-inch petiole. Blooming in summer and fall, it produces a short to 7 cm long basal inflorescence, bearing a single large flower.
