Bulbophyllum laxiflorum

This miniature, unifoliate epiphyte is found across Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Borneo, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Java, and the Philippines. It grows in hot to cool conditions at elevations of 100 to 1800 meters. With closely spaced cylindrical pseudobulbs and a single leathery, elliptic leaf, it blooms year-round on an erect, basal inflorescence about 7 cm or longer. The umbel holds up to 20 fragrant, musky-scented flowers at or near leaf height.
