Bulbophyllum xanthomelanon

This small, warm-growing epiphyte is found in Sulawesi’s montane forests at 1200 meters. It has a hanging rhizome with pseudobulbs spaced 1 to 2.2 cm apart, each bearing a single, erect, elliptic to ovate leaf with a shortly petiolate base. Blooming from fall through spring, it produces a single fragrant flower on a short, 2 cm long, basal inflorescence.
