This small, hot to warm-growing epiphyte is found in Myanmar, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and Borneo at elevations up to 700 meters in dry lowland forests and savanna-like woodlands. It has a short, stout stem with thick, keeled, linear-oblong leaves that are broadly two-lobed. Blooming in late spring and summer, it produces a 10 to 17.5 cm long, pendant, branching inflorescence densely packed with many flowers.
