This medium-sized, cool-growing epiphytic orchid is native to Sumatra. It has closely set stems with 15 oblong leaves that are unequally and obtusely bilobed at the tip, with short black hairs on the leaf sheaths. Blooming from an axillary, short, single-flowered inflorescence, it features two narrowly lanceolate, acute floral bracts. It thrives in cool, humid environments, typical of its native habitat.
