Dendrobium cumulatum

This medium to large epiphyte grows in tropical valleys, lower montane, and swamp peat forests across South and Southeast Asia at elevations of 300 to 1500 meters. It has pendulous, laterally flattened pseudobulbs with 4 to 6 deciduous leaves. Blooming in winter and summer, its 10 cm long racemose inflorescence emerges from the lateral nodes of both leafed and leafless canes, producing transparent, vanilla-scented flowers. It thrives in hot to cool conditions.
