This miniature to small, hot to warm-growing epiphyte is found only in Java at elevations of 460 to 900 meters. It has green stems with cactus-like, broad, thin, slightly curved or cupped leaves clustered at the apex. Blooming in winter, late spring, and summer, it produces arching to pendulous, racemose inflorescences with few to several flowers. The flowers emerge from the stem’s apex, are pendulous, and do not open fully.
