Dendrobium peguanum

This mini-miniature, hot-growing lithophyte or epiphyte is found in the eastern Himalayas, India, Nepal, Sikkim, Myanmar, and Thailand at 300 to 400 meters, near streams in humid areas. It has stout, leathery, fleshy pseudobulbs with 2 to 4 deciduous, leathery leaves. Blooming in late fall after a dry spell, it produces 1 to 3 short racemose inflorescences from the nodes of newly leafless canes, each carrying up to 12 or more fragrant flowers in cultivation.
