This medium-sized orchid is found only in Borneo, growing as a hot to warm epiphyte or terrestrial in lower montane forests on sandstone at elevations of 400 to 900 meters. It has close-set, shiny pale green pseudobulbs with a single, lanceolate leaf. Blooming in spring and fall, it produces a long, arching inflorescence with many fragrant flowers. The floral bracts are cinnamon brown to flesh-colored, and the plant develops on newly arising growth.
