Laelia fourneri

This mini-miniature epiphytic orchid is found in Minas Gerais, Brazil, on rocky ledges at elevations of 1100 to 1800 meters. It grows in cool conditions with narrowly conical pseudobulbs and a single, erect, leathery, scoop-like leaf. Blooming in summer and fall, it produces a short, terminal inflorescence up to 1.5 cm long, bearing 3 to 7 flowers simultaneously.
