Ascocentrum garayi

This small-sized, hot to warm-growing epiphytic orchid is found in Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, growing on trees in semi-deciduous and deciduous dry lowland forests at elevations from sea level to 1000 meters. It has an erect, stout stem covered by persistent, distichous leaf bases and carries ligulate, conduplicate leaves with toothed tips. Blooming mostly in spring, it produces a dense, conical inflorescence that ranges from 10 to 24 cm in length and bears many flowers.
