This small to medium-sized, warm-growing epiphytic orchid is found in northeastern Borneo at elevations of 800 to 1000 meters. It has a creeping rhizome with ovoid to ellipsoid pseudobulbs spaced 2.5 to 3 cm apart, each bearing a single, erect, elliptic to obovate leaf with a petiolate base. It blooms on an erect, 10 to 17 cm (4 to 6.4 inches) long inflorescence, producing a single flower.
