Bulbophyllum fascinator

This small, hot to warm growing epiphyte is found in Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, and the Philippines at elevations up to 1000 meters. It has olive-green, four-angled pseudobulbs spaced 2 to 3 cm apart, each carrying a single oblong-elliptic leaf with a petiolate base. Blooming in summer and fall, it produces a 17 to 19 cm long inflorescence with a single flower, supported by a lanceolate floral bract. It thrives in primary montane forests.
