This small, cool to cold growing epiphyte is found in southern Yunnan, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and India at around 2000 meters. It has garlic clove-like pseudobulbs with a single, elliptic to oblong-elliptic, petiolate leaf. Blooming in spring, it produces a basal, 8 cm long, umbellate inflorescence with several flowers held at mid-leaf.
