This miniature, hot-growing epiphyte is found from Thailand to Australia and the Pacific islands at elevations up to 150 meters. It has small, clustered ovoid pseudobulbs, each with a single elliptic leaf. Blooming from spring to summer, it produces a tall, 15–30 cm purple, wiry inflorescence with 6–10 fragrant flowers held above the leaf.
