This miniature, hot-growing epiphyte is found in Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, and the Philippines. It has small, ovoid, multi-angled pseudobulbs spaced 0.25–0.5 inches apart, each carrying a single, oblong, fleshy, glossy leaf with a long petiole. Blooming from a basal, purple-spotted, 9 cm inflorescence, it produces up to eight flowers. Best grown mounted on tree fern, it requires deep shade and constant moisture to thrive.
