This miniature epiphytic orchid is found in Malaysia, Singapore, and Borneo at elevations up to 1000 meters in lowland and lower montane forests. It grows on the lower trunks and branches of trees, forming ovoid, slightly flattened, olive-green pseudobulbs with a single, thick, dark green elliptic leaf. Blooming on an 8 to 12-inch (20 to 30 cm) long inflorescence, it produces up to 18 flowers, each opening successively, with triangular floral bracts enhancing its delicate appearance.
