This miniature epiphytic orchid is found in Myanmar and Thailand at around 200 meters elevation in hot climates. It has smooth, conical to ovoid pseudobulbs, each bearing a single, thick, lanceolate leaf with a short petiole. Blooming from a basal, 2-inch (5 cm) long erect inflorescence, it produces a densely packed cluster of small flowers held at mid-leaf. The inflorescence has small, distant sheaths at its base, enhancing its compact and delicate appearance.
