Bulbophyllum parviflorum

This miniature orchid is found in Yunnan, the eastern Himalayas, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam, growing in montane forests at 400 to 1100 meters. It thrives as a warm to hot-growing epiphyte with globose pseudobulbs spaced 5 cm apart. Each pseudobulb has a single, narrow, elliptical leaf that tapers into a folded petiole. Blooming in the fall, it produces a 17.5 cm long, erect, basal inflorescence from a mature pseudobulb, bearing many small flowers.
