Bulbophyllum repens

This miniature epiphyte is found in the Chinese and eastern Himalayas, Assam, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam at elevations of 300 to 1600 meters. It thrives in dense forests on tree trunks, growing in hot to cool conditions. It has close-set, small, subovoid pseudobulbs with a single, erect, coriaceous leaf. Blooming in spring, it produces a short, globose, densely flowered inflorescence with ovate-triangular bracts. The flowers have a fungal-like scent and are tightly clustered.
