This miniature epiphyte is found in Singapore, Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, the Moluccas, and New Guinea, growing in tropical lowlands on mangroves or riverside trees at elevations up to 1600 meters. It has small, ovate, curved pseudobulbs spaced 1 cm apart, each bearing a single elliptic, obtuse leaf that narrows into a short petiole. Blooming from the base, it produces a solitary flower on an erect, 6 cm long inflorescence. It thrives in cool conditions despite its tropical habitat.
