This small, hot to warm-growing epiphyte is found from Assam to Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Peninsular Malaysia, and Indonesia. It is related to B. lobbii but differs with shorter, thicker sepals and straighter, non-twisted petals. Blooming in spring and summer, it produces a single, fragrant flower on each inflorescence. It thrives in similar conditions to B. lobbii, making it a suitable choice for cultivation in warm, humid environments with good air circulation and moderate light.
