Bulbophyllum sichyobulbon

This small, cool-growing epiphyte is found in Myanmar, Malaysia, and Thailand at around 1400 meters in elevation. It has widely spaced conical to round pseudobulbs, each carrying a single, thick, leathery leaf. Blooming from a mature pseudobulb, its stout, 2.25″ inflorescence is densely packed with tiny flowers that cluster towards the apex, resembling a drooping bunch of grapes on a short stem. Its unique floral arrangement and rambling growth habit make it an interesting species for cultivation.
