Cleisostoma subulatum

This small to medium-sized, hot-growing epiphyte is found across South and Southeast Asia in lowlands at 100 to 500 meters. It has short, pendulous stems with upturned tips and thick, fleshy, rigid, V-channeled leaves. Blooming throughout the year, it produces stiffly pendant, unbranched inflorescences, 10 to 17 cm long, with up to 40 densely arranged flowers that open successively. The inflorescence is lightly flecked with violet-brown and shorter than the leaves, with very short triangular floral bracts.
