Coelogyne radioferens

This warm to cold-growing orchid is found in Brunei, Kalimantan, and Sabah, Borneo, in montane forests at elevations of 900 to 2100 meters. It grows as an epiphyte on tree trunks or occasionally as a lithophyte, with close-set, slender, spindle-shaped to cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying two long, plicate leaves. Blooming in spring and fall, it produces a 9.5 to 28 cm long, pendulous inflorescence with 6 to 15 simultaneously opening flowers and persistent floral bracts, emerging from a mature pseudobulb.
