This medium-sized orchid is found in Borneo’s lower moss forests, growing as an epiphyte or lithophyte at 600–2200 meters in warm to cold conditions. It has thin, ridged stems that thicken before tapering at the apex and bear linear-oblong leaves. Blooming in spring and fall, it produces a short, 5 cm inflorescence near the apex of its leafless stems, carrying 1 to 3 short-lived flowers.
