Dendrobium fimbriatum

This large orchid is found in Hainan, southeastern China, the Himalayas, and parts of South and Southeast Asia at 800-2400 meters in humid, mossy forests. It grows as an epiphyte, lithophyte, or terrestrial plant with long, arching or pendulous stems up to 120 cm, thickest in the middle, and has deciduous oblong to lanceolate leaves. Blooming mainly from March to May, but occasionally year-round, it produces pendent, 6 to 15-flowered racemes with sweet to sour-scented flowers from mature, leafless canes.
