This small-sized, cool-growing epiphyte is found in Malaysia at elevations of 1,220 to 1,680 meters. It has purplish, fractiflex stems with several linear, alternately arranged leaves that are closely to widely spaced. Blooming in spring, it produces a single-flowered inflorescence about 3 cm long, emerging from leafless stems.
