This small to medium-sized, warm-growing epiphyte is found in Assam, the eastern Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and south-central China at 500 to 1000 meters. It has flattened, 10-inch (25 cm) clavate pseudobulbs with two ovate leaves at the apex. Blooming in late spring, it produces a short, pendulous inflorescence just below the apical leaf, bearing very short-lived, fimbriate flowers.
